Facilities
The main room in Victory Hall will accommodate 100 people though seating is available for 75 only. This room is on the first floor, upstairs. However, we have a stairlift for those who would find the stairs difficult. There is a large, raised stage with curtains and separate lighting. Ideal for plays, dance classes etc
The two rooms downstairs are set up in a meeting room format with 12 seats. Additional seats are provided enabling a maximum of 20 people in each room.
There is a step into the building which is reached over cobbles, a portable ramp is kept inside the main door. There is a disabled toilet within the building. Crockery and cutlery are available for 75 persons and there is a kitchen for catering on the first floor next to the main room.
The hall has an alcohol licence but anyone hiring the hall needs to read and sign the alcohol policy.
We ask people to leave the building clean and tidy after use and to check all electrical items are switched off.
People making bookings should carry out their own risk assessment around their activities planned, and the Village Hall Trustees cannot be held responsible for any injuries sustained.
The Village Hall insurance does not cover people’s belongings; the village is generally very safe but it would be wise to make sure that property is secured or supervised while in the building.
The Victory Hall Trustees reserve the right to decline a booking if it is felt it might lead to anti- social behaviour or anything which would negatively impact the community or reputation of the village.
Friends of the Victory Hall and Events
Friends of the Victory Hall (FOVH) is a group of villagers who help support the hall and run the events that take place there.
This group is separate from the Victory Hall Trustees and so not involved in the management of the Hall.
Anyone can become a FOVH and everyone is welcome. We are a diverse group of villagers ranging in age from 14 to 70! We meet monthly and plan events in Victory Hall. FOVH also support these events with setting up of the main hall, selling tickets, delivering leaflest and washing up.
